“마음이 부패하여지고 진리를 잃어버려 경건을 이익의 방도로 생각하는 자들의 다툼이 일어나니라. 그러나 자족하는 마음이 있으면 경건은 큰 이익이 되느니라.”(딤전 6:5-6)
그리스도의 말씀과 교훈을 따르지 않으면 진리를 잃어버리고, 자족하는 마음을 가지면 경건이 큰 유익이 되지만, 돈을 사랑하면 파멸에 이르게 된다는 깨우침을 주심을 감사드립니다.
경건한 삶을 받으시고 은혜 베푸시는 하나님!
믿음을 지키며, 선한 싸움을 싸울 수 있도록, 말씀과 경건을 회복토록 교훈하심을 찬양 드립니다.
물질 만능 시대를 살아가는 저희이기에, 물질의 유혹에 빠져, 말씀과 경건을 소홀히 살고 있음을 고백합니다. 어떤 능력보다 귀한 진리와 자족의 능력을 깨닫게 하시오니, 물질에 자유롭지 못하고, 복음보다 다른 가르침에 귀 기울이지 않도록, 저희에게 은혜와 능력을 더하여 주시옵소서.
교만과 영적 타락, 세상 욕심과 정욕에 빠지지 않고, 진리 안에서 자족하는 마음으로 살아갈 수 있는 은혜를 간구합니다. 탐욕 때문에 고통 속에 사는 것보다, 주어진 것으로 자족하며 감사하게 하여 주시옵소서. 자족함으로 기쁨과 평강을 누리게 하실 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
Lord, who allows us to have contentment in truth!
"and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. But godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Timothy 6:5-6).
Give thanks to our Lord for teaching us that we lose truth if we do not follow His words and teachings. Godliness with contentment is great gain but love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
Our God shows His grace, in the return of our godliness lives!
Praise our Lord for recovering our faith and godliness.
We confess that we often fall for the temptations of money as we live in materialistic world. Have Your grace on us and allow us to be free from materialistic things. Let us always remember that the truth is what matters in our lives.
Help us to not fall for greediness and spiritual downfall. Instead, allow us to have contentment in truth. Let us not go through pain by our greediness but allow us to be thankful for what we have. We pray in Jesus name who will allow us to have peace. Amen.
