볼리비아 코차밤바로 찬양선교여행을 떠난 인패스 부설기관 WMYO 청소년 단원 51명이 8일 간의 단기선교일정을 마치고 최근 귀국했다. 찬양단기선교라는 새로운 패러다임을 제시하며 병원, 군사학교, 교회, 고아원, 커뮤니티 센터, 교도서 등에 찬양을 선사하고 개인 레슨 및 악기 선물을 하기도 한 단원들은 특히 마지막 날 저녁 기도회에서 불신자 단원 모두가 그리스도를 영접하는 구원의 열매도 가득 맺고 돌아왔다.
이번 일정에 동행한 인패스 피터 정 대표는 “8일 간 13번의 연주회는 단순한 연주회가 아닌 부흥회였다”며 "이번 여행에 함께했던 학생들, 선생님들 모두 또 가고 싶다, 찬양이 선교의 도구로 강력한 힘이 있음을 보았다고 말했다.병원에서, 어린이 암병동에서, 군사학교에서, 교도서에서 어린이 고아원에서 찬양은 한명 한명을 만져 줄수 있었다. 우리도 울고 그들도 울고 그렇게 주 안에서 하나되어 긴 여운을 남겼다”고 전했다.
정 대표는 “인패스 WMYO는 내년 또 다른 국가로 찬양선교를 떠날 것을 계획하고 있으며, 이미 여러 나라에서 초청을 받은 상태”라고 덧붙였다.
한편, 오는 8월 인패스 WMYO 2012년을 위한 오디션을 개최한다. 인패스는 최근 봉사하는 학생과 부모에게 미국 대통령 봉사상을 수여할 수 있는 단체로 인증 받기도 했다.
다음은 이번 찬양선교에 다녀온 학생들의 간증이다.
Seung Jeon
1.) how has this mission trip changed you personally? what have you learned/realized about yourself?
-I dont think there were like the major changes in my personality.. BUT.. I did learn that there are many kids who deserved more than the life they live in right now.. so maybe i should be thankful and work hard more so i can help those who needs help. and I realized that I should pray more not for myself but for others.. and GOD can do anything!!
2.) how are you going to live differently? any change in thinking about your future and the world?
- Everyday.. give thanks to GOD, and my ultimate future goal is to join professional orchestras like NY Phil, or Boston symphony, and show other players what GOD is and how great he is.. and than, go to kind of mission like to poor country, and have free concert for everyone there. But my short term goal is....after im going to college, my goal is to bring as many friends as i can from Cleveland insititute of music to WMYO so we can go to mission together. WITH WMYO
3.) any other comments? best memories? hard moments? confusing moments? questions?
- I think I talked about hard ones.. so ill skip that.. but best one would be when we had a last concert at new life orphen... i met this 2 great kids.. and i prayed for them, and they prayed for me!
4.) what were your expectations before the trip and how has God changed it around for you?
-it was my 3rd mission.. so I kind of expected hard time.. but it was harder than i expected.. but lots of fun and joy!.

아버지가 불교시다 보니까 그래도 약간 불교의 그런 사상같은게 머릿속에 조금은 남아있었는데 이번 미션을 통해서 그런 사상같은것들은 없어지고 온전한 하나님만 마음속에 남았구요.
안좋은 환경속에서도 웃음을 잃지않고 나보다도 더 종교적인 그쪽 사람들 보면서 많이 기도하는시간도 가지고 또 하나님의 축복에 죽을 때까지 감사할 수 있다는 마음이 생겼어요.
2.) how are you going to live differently? any change in thinking about your future and the world?
하나님을 위해서 살고싶어요. 하나님이 저에게 주신 능력으로 최대한 많은 사람들에게 하나님의 말씀을 전달하고 싶어요!

이 미션자체가 정말 제게 있어서 가장 행복하고 마음 따듯했던 추억인거같아요: )

맨 첨엔 걱정도 많이하고 그랫는데 통틀어서 하나님이 저와함께하신다는걸 느꼈습니다!
