주일학교 교사/학부모 양육 세미나인 CEF(Child Evangelism Fellowship) Super Seminars가 9월 9일(목)부터 12월 16일까지 약 3개월에 걸쳐 진행된다.
CEF의 북버지니아 지역 디렉터인 황의정 선교사는 "CEF는 어린이들에게 복음을 전하고, 더 나아가 그들이 그가 섬기는 교회에서 올바른 크리스천 리더로 섬길 수 있도록 양육하는 사명을 감당해 왔습니다. 70년이 넘는 세월 동안 방과후 학교, 여름캠프등의 다양한 프로그램과 커리큘럼을 통해 전 세계 수 많은 아이들을 길러왔습니다"라고 CEF를 소개한다.
황 선교사는 "아이들을 올바르게 신앙적으로 키우려면 교사들이 잘 훈련되어야 합니다. 교사들을 훈련시키는 것이야 말로 저희 CEF가 가장 중요하게 생각하는 어린이 전도사역의 한 부분입니다"라며, “아이들을 신앙적으로 잘 인도하길 원하는 주일학교 교사 및 학부모들이 이 세미나를 통해 도움을 받길 원한다’고 밝혔다.
2009년부터 황의정 선교사는 와싱톤중앙장로교회, 와싱톤한인교회, 휄로쉽교회등의 요청에 의해 교사 훈련을 진행하기도 했으며, 매주 목요일 저녁에는 스프링필드에 위치한 CEF 회의실에서 정기적으로 교사 훈련을 진행해 왔다.
참가 비용은 무료이며, 커피가 제공된다. 어린이 구원과 신앙교육에 대한 열정과 소명만 있으면 참가할 수 있다. 강사는 황의정 선교사이며, 장소는 CEF 회의실이다.
목요 세미나 외에도, 교회에서 주일학교 교사진이나 학부모를 교육시키길 원하면 맞춤형 교육이 가능하다고 한다. 황의정 선교사에게 문의하면 된다.
