Looking for a young pastor who dreams of revival of Korean second-generation ministry
Los Angeles has the largest number of Korean immigrants abroad.
Korean churches have played a central role in the immigrant community.
However, after Corona, Korean churches are facing a huge crisis.
Large churches have lost their influence due to division and antagonism and are watching the departure of members due to non-face-to-face situations, and small churches are holding out week by week in fear of survival.
In the midst of this, the second-generation Korean-Americans who will continue the next generation are losing their identity as Koreans without a proper role model or systematic christian education.
These young people who need to grow up to lead American society that move the world are living day by day without dreams and passion. It is truly a sad fact.
Perhaps the influence of the Korean community is diminishing as the selfish mind of parents who want their children to graduate from a prestigious university and raise a prosperous office worker or professional is spreading.
“New wine must be put in new wineskins.”
We need to wake up our sleeping next generations with the gospel of God and the Holy Spirit, so that they can heal themselves and get away from their feelings of inferiority and nurture a confident self-portrait. It should be the hope of immigrant families and the beacon of the immigrant community that is losing its light. We need to nurture them as influential leaders who show leadership in American society with their Korean identity.
Please contact us if you are a young pastor who will devote yourself to second-generation revival.
It may be the starting point of a new church, or it may be in the form of a praise concert.
The content and direction matter, not the form.
The spirit of Charles Spurgeon who woke up England, Jonathan Edwards who led the spiritual awakening in America, and Billy Graham, who became an evangelist in the 20th century, starting with a revival meeting in Los Angeles 70 years ago, must be continued.
If there is a pastor in his/her 30s who has a dream to bring about a movement of revival for the second generation of Koreans and the American church in Koreatown, please contact us.
